Kirby School District has received the Stronger Connections Grant. The grant monies will be spent to enhance social and emotional learning. The focus will be on creating a positive school environment. The Live School program has been purchased that will help students track their behavior and use points for rewards. The Capturing Kids Hearts program will also be implemented. Through experiential training, expert coaching, a character-based curriculum for students, and personalized support, Capturing Kids' Hearts® equips professionals in K-12 education to implement transformational processes focused on social-emotional wellbeing, relationship-driven campus culture, and student connectedness. Finally, a certified behavioral therapist will work with all students on a weekly basis, and as needed.
