Dear Parents:
We have several struggling students this year, for whatever reason, covid, lack of instruction, or maybe unidentified learning disabilities. Please keep in contact with your child’s teacher and schedule a conference if you have any concerns. Please send your child for small group intervention on Trojan Enrichment Friday, if they are struggling or start to struggle.
One way to keep up daily or weekly with your child’s progress is to log in to HAC. Teachers record grades in this program. You can help us by working at home with your child if your teacher sends home some extra practice for them to complete. Teachers will be sending home some work that will not be new learning but practice for skills that should already be mastered. Check backpacks nightly for communication or work sent home to practice.
There are a number of students who have 10 or more days absent. In a four day school week, each day counts as 1.25 days, that would be 12.50 days. As you can tell by checking your child’s backpack each night, that is a lot of missed work.
