Our elementary agriculture students are putting their learning into action by creating paper circuits! 💡🐔
This hands-on activity helped students deepen their understanding of hen house engineering while exploring how electricity, design, and functionality can work together. Students practiced problem-solving, critical thinking, creativity, and perseverance while connecting STEM concepts to agriculture.
🐓 Students also explored clean sources of energy and how thoughtful energy choices can contribute to conservation in Arkansas. By connecting renewable energy, agricultural engineering, and responsible resource use, students are beginning to understand how we can care for our farms, communities, and the natural resources that make our state special. 🌱⚡
Agriculture is so much more than growing plants and caring for animals—it also involves engineering, innovation, sustainability, and conservation!
We are proud of our young agricultural engineers and conservation-minded learners! 💚🔌👩🔧👨🔧

We are looking for items that community members would be willing to loan temporarily for students to view and explore. We will take great care of everything and return borrowed items promptly.
📸 Have something from the 1960s but aren't sure if it would be useful? SEND US A MESSAGE! You may have exactly the piece of history we're looking for.
Maybe you have a box of old records in the attic, your parents' yearbooks, a vintage radio, old magazines, clothing, photographs, toys, advertisements, political memorabilia, or something else that takes you right back to the 1960s.
Let's give our students the chance to experience the world of The Outsiders instead of just reading about it!
If you have something you think might help, please comment below or message me (Scarlett Reid) directly. And please SHARE this post so we can reach as many local history buffs, collectors, car enthusiasts, and longtime Arkansans as possible!
❤️💙 Help us bring the 1960s—and The Outsiders—to life!

We wrapped up our Trojans Outdoors STEAM Camp today at Daisy State Park. We would like to give a HUGE shout out to park Superintendent Nathan Fort. He presented an engaging and fun program for our students that included history of the park, a nature hike, scavenger hunt, and information about the local flora and fauna, (bats, turtles, eagles, and many more things). If you haven't taken advantage of our local state park, we highly recommend you stop by and visit Daisy State Park and see what all they have to offer this summer! Thanks so much to all the families that allowed their students to attend this year! We can't wait to do it again next year!
