Congratulations to Kolt and Kali Turner! Kali won Horsemanship and 1st Runner Up Princess in the Rodeo Queens Contest. Kolt won the mutton bustin' competition at the rodeo!


Congratulations to our newest Undirty Dozen/PPYC Members!! This is a peer mentor group that represents Kirby’s best students. Undirty Dozen/PPYC promotes having exceptional character and being drug free and bully free through a variety of projects throughout the year.

The Pike County Health Department will be on campus October 5th for the Kirby School Flu Clinic. Consent forms have been handed out to students! The Computer Engineering and Robotics classes have worked together to propose an experiment for an upcoming NASA High Altitude Balloon launch that should take place next summer. These students used the Scientific Method and Engineering Design Process to brainstorm and design an experiment that will have an impact on life on Earth and space exploration. We will know if our proposal was selected by January 12, 2023.

Family Movie Night


Kirby School District and Nurse Alissa would like to give a huge thank you to Dr. Mandi Ott and Maryann Naney from Glenwood Eye Care for coming to Kirby School this morning and performing vision screenings for free! Mandi is a Kirby alumni and is always giving back to the school and the community.





Thanks to Tonya White for the homemade cookies today! As you can see, they didn’t last long! The perfect snack to end a great first week back to school!



Kirby School District is seeking a Paraprofessional or SPED Paraprofessional for the 2022-2023 school year. The primary function will be performing duties related to instruction and supervision. Supervise students in a variety of settings, based on the direction of the building administrator. Some personal care may be required. Provide instructional assistance to students, based on the direction of the building administrator. Communicate with the building administrator on issues related to supervision or instructional assistance. Maintain complete confidentiality in regard to students and faculty Kirby Public Schools.
The paraprofessional may be assigned to duties at the discretion of the building principals in order to ensure that the safety and security of all students is maintained and educational services are being provided as required.

STEM Camp for Elementary students will be next week Tuesday, May 31- Friday, June 3. We look forward to a great week of hands on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math learning. Students will be fed breakfast and lunch. Mrs. April’s bus is running late this morning!

Today was the last day for Heather to be on campus for our School Based Health Clinic. We have helped many students and staff stay in class and on campus by seeing them in the clinic during school hours. Thanks to Heather for all she has done this year for Kirby School employess and students!
