
The basketball games for Thursday, Feb 3rd vs Murfreesboro at Kirby have been cancelled!

Reminder: For deadline and registration purposes, KYA (Baseball, Softball, & TBall) forms & money need turned in by this Friday, February 4.


Kirby School District will be utilizing an AMI day on Thursday, February 3rd, 2022 due to potential hazardous winter weather in our area. Assignments will be sent home with students today for Elementary. High School students will have assignments posted on their Google Classrooms. The status of the basketball game vs Murfreesboro will be announced at a later time, depending on the weather conditions.

Baseball and Softball Season will be starting soon. Kirby Youth Association (KYA) Meeting will be Friday, February 4, 2022 @ 6 PM in the Kirby School Cafeteria.

I know that rapid tests are hard to come by now and that some drs offices are out/ running low. I have rapid tests at school and can test anyone if needed. Please call the school during school hours or my cell at 870-223-2711 to ask any questions or for a time to be tested. ~ Nurse Alissa

Kirby School District will be returning back to school Tuesday. Masks are optional but highly recommended. Masks are available if any staff or student needs one. Please stay home or keep your child home if they are showing any signs of sickness: fever, cough, sore throat, headache, etc. Nurse Alissa will be available for any questions.

Kirby School District will utilizing our Alternative Methods of Instruction or AMI days on Tuesday, January 11th through Thursday, January 13th due to the large amount of students who are testing positive for Covid-19 or are being placed in quarantine. We will return to campus on Tuesday, January 18th, after the already scheduled Martin Luthur King Jr. Holiday. The basketball games scheduled for Thursday, January 13th vs Mt. Ida have been cancelled.
Safety is our#1 goal for all of our staff and students. With that being said, during these AMI days, all school buildings, INCLUDING THE GYMNASIUM, will be closed to everyone.
We will be revisiting and evaluating our mask policy during Wednesday's Regular Board Meeting. We will let our staff, students, & parents/guardians know the board's decision once it is made.
Our school nurse and POC Alissa Kelley will be available by phone (870)223-2711 during these times. **If anyone is your household tests positive, is awaiting test results or is exposed to a positive case please call Nurse Alissa as soon as possible. If you have a child or family member who is positive, quarantined or sick, please do your part in trying to STOP the spread of this fasting moving virus.
Students in High School will have their school assignments posted within their Google Classrooms and students in Elementary have AMI packets that are being sent home.

4-6 Musical has been changed from January 20th to February 10th.

Grades are uploaded to Home Access Center (HAC) for viewing. Copies will be printed and sent home after break. Merry Christmas!!!!

Current faculty and staff of Kirby School District stand in front of the old Primary School building where they were former students and/or staff. The building will be tore down over the Holiday break to make room for the new construction projects on campus. Once a Trojan, Always a Trojan!


No Archery practice this week. Archery practice will resume after Christmas break in January.

It's Homecoming Day and Gameday! Come out and watch the ceremony and then support the basketball teams as they take on the Acorn Tigers!


Thank you to Mr. Greg Aud and the Olds Foundation for approving our library grant proposal for the 2021-2022 school year! A portion of the grant has been used to purchase new furniture for the high school library.
