Kirby Elementary is hosting a Daddy Daughter dance. Proceeds will go to support our Music and Drama Department!
WHAT: Daddy Daughter Dance. Theme is “Come on Barbie, Let’s Go Party!”
WHEN: Saturday, May 3rd. 6:00-8:00 PM
WHERE: Kirby School Cafeteria.
FEE: $15 per one adult and child. Add $5 per additional child. This includes fee for entry and refreshments. RSVP with fee no later than Thursday, May 1st.
ADDITIONAL INFO: Barbie theme includes all things girly and fun! Disco Barbie, Ballgown Barbie, Sporty Barbie, etc! We can’t wait to see all of your favorite looks! Photo backdrops will also be present. We ask all Parents/Guardians to follow state and school laws and regulations regarding campus safety.

Elementary students have participated in our March Madness Book Character Tournament recently. The final vote came down to Dogman & Clifford. Clifford came out on top this year!!! YAY, Clifford!!!
Purple Up Day is a special day set aside to honor and show support for military children as part of the Month of the Military Child, which is celebrated every April. It’s a chance to recognize the unique challenges these children face, as well as their strength and resilience. Military students at Kirby School District enjoy a meal with Mr. Burns and Mrs. Cowart at our local restaurant Cazadorez. Reminder: National Purple UP Day is April 15. WEAR YOUR PURPLE to Support all Military Students!!!💜

April is Poetry month! Elementary students will be learning how to use figurative language when writing poems, as well as how to write various types of poems. This week third grade learned about Concrete or Found Poetry. They were given a template and each student created and recited their original poems in the library for their classmates.
