🌿🎯 Kirby Elementary School Selected for School of Conservation Leadership! 🏹🌳
We’re proud to announce that Kirby Elementary School has been selected as one of only 30 schools statewide to join the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission’s School of Conservation Leadership for the 2025–2026 school year!
This exciting initiative—powered by the Arkansas Outdoor Education Initiative and supported by the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, Arkansas Parks, Heritage, and Tourism, and the Department of Education—will bring hands-on conservation learning to our students. Through outdoor experiences, guest speakers, field trips, and engaging curriculum, our school community will explore Arkansas’s natural resources and build leadership skills rooted in stewardship and sustainability.
We’re honored to be part of the second cohort and thrilled to help inspire the next generation of Arkansas conservationists. Our staff will receive professional development, resources, and support throughout the year as we work toward our official School of Conservation Leadership designation.

If you're an Arkansas Farm Bureau member, you may have seen Kirby Elementary featured in the latest issue of Front Porch Magazine! 🌟 We’re proud to share that our school is one of only 15 in the entire state selected to pilot the new Elementary Agriculture Education program! 🍎📘
This summer, Mrs. Scotti and Mrs. Wright attended a week-long training to bring this exciting program to life at Kirby Elementary. The goal? To teach our students about the importance of agriculture and where their food and everyday items really come from. 🚜🌱
This program works hand-in-hand with our high school Agriculture Program, 4-H, and FFA to provide a hands-on, meaningful learning experience. 👩🌾👨🌾
Our 6th graders have already jumped into learning this school year! Check out the photos below 📸 of students participating in a fun relay race 🏃♂️💨 where they categorized everyday items as coming from a farm, factory, store, or natural resource.

We can do that! Kirby School District has partnered with Therapeutic Family Services for the last 10 YEARS to serve our students!
Services include:
🧠 Assessment and Diagnostics.
🧠Psychological Evaluations and Medication management.
🧠Individual, Family, and Group Counseling sessions. 🧠Behavioral interventions with a QBHP.
🧠Support and recommendations for 504 or IEP.
🧠ADHD screening
🧠Referral for Autism testing.

They are certified in CBT, Play Therapy, and treating Eating Disorders. TFS believes in providing a safe, confidential space for clients. They see students pre k-12th grade. Kirby Elementary's Open House will take place on Thursday, August 7 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
In addition to Open House, families are invited to attend grade-level Family Orientation sessions in Room 14:
🕓 Kindergarten–3rd Grade: 4:00 PM
🕔 4th–6th Grade: 5:00 PM
Reminder: Kindergarten Camp will be THURSDAY, JULY 31, 2025!
“Please follow the standard car line routes for both morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up. All students will enter through the elementary school's front doors in the morning.”
