Deadline Reminder: ALL vaccines must be up to date by October 7th. Letters were mailed out in August and also again this month to those students who need vaccines. We would like to thank Sgt. Jones and the Army National Guard for feeding our staff at school this evening!!
As Kirby School District K-12 Nurse, my job includes providing health care through assessment, intervention, and follow-up for all students in the school. Along with the teachers and staff, we have only the students best interest in mind which includes staying healthy, staying in class, and having very little absences due to health related issues.
Sometimes it is in the best interest of the student, teachers and classmates that if I have a health concern, I will refer the child to be seen by a physician before returning to school.
ALL screenings that I do are conducted in a manner that respects the confidentiality of each student.
